Temperature Control Systems Inc. was established in 1975 by Ira and Naomi Goodlett. Ira was employed 18 years with Honeywell as an Application Engineer and later as a Manager in Service Sales. Ira's vision was to take his years of experience into distribution to benefit the customer utilizing multiple manufacturers. Ira was a firm believer in educating the customer as well as educating his employees in order to make them successful. While Ira was busy training, engineering and selling Naomi was busy answering the phones, keeping the books and managing inventory. For we all know the only dependable free labor is your spouse. Through Ira's time and commitment to training Ira was able to develop a business with loyal customers and an educated staff that spans generations.

In 1985 Temperature Control Systems acquired Climate Control Systems Inc. in Ft. Worth Texas and opened Austin Controls Inc. in Austin Texas. In 1987 due to the expanding market in Dallas it was necessary to open a second location in Dallas and Temperature Controls – Dallas was born. In 1996 Temperature Control Systems ventured north of the Red River into Oklahoma and opened its 5 th location Tulsa Controls Inc. in Tulsa Oklahoma.

Temperature Control Systems like many of the distribution companies in this industry continues to be a family owned business. Susan Goodlett Cross has been with the company 25 years and serves as the Chief Financial Officer. Naomi Goodlett serves as President but has not given up answering the phones, keeping the books and inventory management. In 2001 Ira went to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with poly-cystic kidney disease. Scott Cross has been with the company 15 years and in 2002 was named the Chief Executive Officer of Temperature Control Systems Inc.

July 1, 2005 Temperature Control Systems merged all of its locations under the one overall corporate entity called Temperature Control Systems, Inc.
